Powerenz Mr. Slim 100 

     This ultra light-weight, off-grid solar power system can be carried during events, such as backpacking expeditions, where minimal weight is critical.  The system can power a variety of portable DC-powered electronic devices that require 3-12 volts up to 3 amps, 16-24 volts up to 3.5 amps, and can recharge itself in sunlight using the included solar panel.  The ability to power an electronic device using DC power is dependent on the availability of the correct DC power adapter to connect to your device’s DC power input jack.  The correct DC power adapter is either included in the eight most commonly used DC adapters that come with the system, or it may be purchased separately.  For those devices that have a male automobile DC adapter, a female cigarette lighter socket adapter that plugs into the DC-OUT jack of the battery is included.

     Powerenz Mr. Slim100 includes:  Battery: one ***USED, rechargeable, 6 amp-hour, lithium ion battery assembly that weighs 2.4 pound, measures 7.25 x 5 x 1 inches, stores 100 watt-hours of energy, that can be recharged directly from the solar panel using an included custom connector-cable, or that can be recharged using the included worldwide AC-powered battery charger when the grid is available.  The AC charger will accept 120-volts/60Hz AC or 230-volts/50Hz AC.  The battery assembly can deliver user-selectable output voltages of 3-24 volts DC, can deliver a regulated 5 volts DC to a built-in USB port for charging cell phones, iPods, and other USB-charged electronics, and has a push-button fuel gauge.  The battery has been used only in our shop for one year, and has been used outdoors to test a variety of solar panels.  The battery pack is functionally perfect, but the black shell has some surface scratches and marks indicative of some use by us.  Because of this cosmetic change, the price for the system has been discounted.  Solar panel: brand new, foldable 36-watt/1.8-amp unit in black that will require 3 hours of peak sunlight to recharge the battery from empty to full, and that weighs 3.4 pounds.  Accessories: one DC-output cable with 8 common sized barrel connectors, one USB charging cable adapter with 8 common sized connectors, one female cigarette lighter socket adapter with cable, and one custom cable connector that links the solar panel to the battery assembly.

     The entire system weighs 6.5 pounds.  The AC charger will not be needed during an off-grid application.  Leave the AC charger behind, and the system weighs only 5.7 pounds.
